Dreadlocks and short hair?

i have really short hair, like 1 or 2 inches.


im white, but i still want dreads.


i wanna start them now.


is it possible to have dreads with this short of hair?


and if so how should i do it?

i think it needs 2 be about 4 in, and either way u shouldn't do it dreads are hideous.
